[Book] Climate Stories is out!

The German-speaking anthology "Klimageschichten"(Climate Stories), published with edition assemblage, offers a kaleidoscope of stories from different parts of the world on dealing with climate change. Lively and inspired, it adds an ethnographic perspective to the climate fiction genre.

Climate change is no longer science fiction. It is making itself felt - here and now, in everyday life. Be it in the form of heat waves, floods or landslides. Inspired by ethnographic research from around the world, the book breaks with positively framed notions of technological innovation and political silver bullets by contextualizing the handling of climate change in a situational and speculative way. The volume brings together stories from the here and now, from the distant future and from the perspective of non-human species. In doing so, it brings questions of environmental justice and toxic legacies into our consciousness and also unfolds visions for shared futures.

With stories from (a-alphabetical order): Vera Benter, Tanja Granzow, Milena Bister, Laura Otto, Kathrin Eitel, Eileen Jahn, Cornelia Ertl, Christian Elster, Anna Lena Bercht, Alexa Färber, Author collective @Uni Vienna
